326. Mason, A. J. Jan 5. Oil stoves and lamps.-The back of the flat-wick tube is rigidly attached to the lid 1, and carries the regulating-spindle 7 and cogs. The front 6 of the wick tube is detachable, and is provided with swellings 9 to determine its vertical position, or it is hinged, in either case allowing ready insertion of the wick and cleaning &c. of the cogs. Lugs 2 of the lid 1 serve in part to support the wicktube, and hangers 4 of the gallery 3 embrace the wick-tube.
