4943. Hobson, H. A., and Concentrated Beer Co. March 8. Drawings to Specification. Brewing.-Relates to the brewing processes described in Specifications Nos. 48 and 20,819, A.D. 1900, in which an infusion of hops is used as the mashing-liquor, and consists, firstly, in extracting the residual soluble matter from the spent malt and hops, and in using the liquor thus obtained for making a fresh infusion of hops, and, secondly, in heating separately a portion of the hop infusion and using the hot liquid for raising the temperature of the liquid in the mash tun, thereby avoiding the dilution which is produced by the injection of steam.
