A door fitting includes a pair of escutcheon plates 7, 8 adapted to lie on opposite sides of the door 2, the outer plate 7 being provided with a key-hole or key slot 13, the plates being adapted to be secured by bolts 9-11 passing therethrough and through the door, the heads of the bolts on the outside of the door being of smooth flat-domed formation such as to preclude removal of the bolts from the outside of the door by a tool.
